Please, please, anyone, everyone, someone...no Groban shuffle please. But is there any way to get an autograph? From Josh? I dearly love him. Us Groban Grannies have our passions too, and I loe the man, the music, the humour, everything. And I cannot afford to buy an autograph from EBAY. It wouldn't be the same anyway. I can't believe that people actually sell his autograph! I have autographs from many famous people, but would never sell even one of them. I would donate them, for a worthy cause, but it would break my heart to do so. "nuff said. Please advise me what to do. I have concert ticket for Indy concert in July.

The absolute most common way to get an autograph is to wait by the buses after the show. It's sometimes hard to locate where the buses are going to be coming from, but if you follow the crowd that seems to be going towards something other than their cars, (rather excitedly) than that might be your best bet. Once you get there with all the other hopefuls, then you might get lucky and Josh will come and give out autographs. Sometimes though, he may not have enough time depending on where the location of his next concert is going to be. They might have to just hit the road immediately to get there in time. For the most part he does try to do it. He came out for autographs at the Manchester, NH show I attended almost 4 years ago.

It's a matter of opportunity and luck. Don't worry, I'm sure you will get one eventually. Josh is very generous for his fans. We are extremely lucky! :)

Thanks for the heads up. I just might have to miss the last number to try to get in the line. Sounds like it is worth a try anyway. Yes, we are very lucky. He is one guy who genuinely cares about his fans. Maybe because we are all a little crazy...you know, that whole Grobanmania thing...or that we are terribly loyal. Either way, he is a great guy to be bonkers about! thanks and have a great night lindsey

another way is to wait outside a radio or tv studio after he's done an interview - if he's in your area, that is ;)
that way there will not be as many fans as there are at an arena show

good luck :)

I have another method, but it might be a bit expensive for you. I live @ 4 hours from NYC, so I took the train to the city, and went to a couple of his 'signings' at bookstores. I also stood (sat) in line to get into GMA and got an autograph there.
It takes persistence and luck ( and money) to get something as precious as his autograph.....I have 2 that are personalized. I treasure them.I got my first one when he was signing his first DVD....in 2002 ( I think) It was his first signing, and we all had a blast that night.
Keep the faith.....and be in the right place at the right time. It will happen. You might have to go to Chicago to see him......but it's worth it!

thanks for the suggestion. What is GMA? he signed in Chicage last fall but I could not find a way to get there. Maybe I can go by bus or something. It is certainly something to think about. thanks . I appreciate the input.I am not going to give up.

How long does he usually stand at the busses and sign? Is there usually a HUGE crowd? I bet half of the people there already have an autograph too. I would love one too! And I would hate to get to the busses and stand there, only to be trampled on by crazed fans and never get an autograph.

I completly agree! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE an autograph (and the chance to say that I actually met him) but I would hate to persist that my group I'm going with stay longer to be trampled and walk away with nothing (other than the sure to be wonderful concert memories considering it will be my first concert...ever).

Have to update this since I last posted - but I GOT MY AUTOGRAPH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the New Orleans show, waited by the buses, and he signed my Illuminations cd!!!! As he walked closer to me (and I was only about 2 inches from him, on the other side of a fence), he looked each and every person in the eye, thanked them for coming, and signed!! It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh...still on cloud 9!

How very exciting for you! I would do anything to get an autograph. I am working on putting a fan book together for Josh to give to him at the concert I am attending here in BC. I'm compiling messages and photos from fans to give to him. If you would like to contribute just let me know. My email is mlbedard@shaw.ca and you can send you photos (high res) and messages to me there. I can also send you a link to the finished project when I complete it. I'm soooooo excited to see him in August!

We got his autograph by standing outside by the buses after the concert in NH 2007.

I don't think he is coming out after the concerts as much as he used to. Maybe they have his concerts booked to close together in time or too far apart in distance and he doesn't have time anymore.

I hope you get your autograph someday.

I know how you all feel ... money is so tight & by the time I'm done working for the day I'm to tired to be able to do a concert ... plus I can't stand for that long so I would never make it through a concert ... I have a form of Muscular Dystrophy called Myasthenia Gravis ... so between watch videos & listening to my cds, that's as close as I will be able to get ... but that's always been my life of nonluck
